Run Forrest Run!

We did it!!!!!
After 10 weeks of training, our team of 24 ladies
ran in the Atlanta Women's 5K!
Most of us had never run in a race before and we all finished the
3.1 mile course!
We used the Couch to 5K training program and had
a blast getting to know each other and encouraging
each other!  Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays were our
training days, and boy did we train hard!
Most of the ladies go to Southcrest Church together!
We all decided to wear crazy socks for race day!
Everyone loved our fashion statement!!!
Here was our group before the race.
We met at the church at 6:00 am and headed up to Atlanta
to Candler Park.  Our run went through the park and even Little Five Points.
It was a blast!
Over 2,000 ladies participated!
These were the crazy socks that rode in my car!
FUN!!!
Here we were at the end, after all of our group had finished!
We were some proud runners, and most everyone
is already asking when the next race will be!
I was very proud of my time, 30:19!
Not bad for my first race.
I am doing the Mayor's Run with my brother in law at the end
of April in Alabama!  I can't wait!
SO thankful for all we accomplished!
I LOVE these precious running buddies!

Cousin Fun!!!

Our cousins came to visit!
Leanne, Aunt Janet, Nicole and Andrew
came to spend part of their spring break with us!
We had a WONDERFUL time and made lots of memories!
The kids wanted their own tables
when we went out to lunch after church!
Being silly on the way to Atlanta!
Fun in Atlanta while waiting to go in to
The World of Coke!
SO cute!  Nicole gave Ambry a new outfit for her
birthday... and she had the same one!  TWINS!
(They remind me of Leanne and I when we were little!)
Fun times at The World of Coke!
The tasting room was their favorite!
Standing by "the vault", where Coke keeps the secret recipe!
Character photos...

On Monday, we enjoyed an afternoon at The American Girl store!
Shopping for their dolls!
Dining in the AG Bistro!
Riding the carosel in the mall!
When we got home that night, Daddy had built a fire so we could
make some indoor s'mores!
On Tuesday we had a little adventure in
"the river" in our neighborhood!
Auntie Leanne was so brave!  She took at dip in the COLD water
with the kids!
SO muddy after their time playing in the water!
Hose time to clean off all of that mud and river water!
We couldn't have asked for a better visit with our cousins!
We are already planning a trip
to go and see them in Florida this summer!
Family time is the BEST!
Thanks for coming guys!!!!!!!

Ambry's Art Party!

We had a fabulous weekend celebrating Ambry's 8th birthday
with our sweet family and friends!
Grammy, Grumps and Nana all arrived on Friday!
After sitting around the table and enjoying a big spaghetti dinner, we
had a HILARIOUS marathon of Doggie Doo!
This game never gets old!  We laughed and laughed every time
the 'doo' came out!  :)  Grammy ended up being our big winner!
On Saturday, Trey and Nana took a road trip to see Allison
compete in her second gymnastics meet in Auburn.
They had a blast together!  Alli came in 7th overall!
Grammy and Ambry and I worked on the rainbow cakes for
Ambry's art party!
Lots of coloring, mixing, scooping and baking!
It took all day!
But the end result was so pretty and artsy!
(The funny thing was, a whole cake mix only made 4 jars!  That's
a TON of cake for each of our partygoers!)
On Sunday after church, and brunch at the Flying Biscuit,
we had Ambry's birthday art party at In the Art of It!
What a relaxing time!
Delicious, colorful treats!
All smiles as she greeted her guests!
First up, decorating art aprons!  The girls were all very creative!
Ambry's adorable friends made her party so much fun!
All of our little artists hard at work creating masterpieces!
In the Art of It studio was AMAZING!
Ambry has already asked if she can have her party here again
next year!  And a Girls' Night Out of painting is coming up in the
near future for all of our mommy friends!
Finally, time to dig in to to the rainbow cakes!
God blessed us with a beautiful daughter,
a very special day,
wonderful family and precious friends!
The girls with their finished masterpieces!
I love how each canvas began with a cross outline,
and then each artist created something unique!
Precious girls!!!
Even Grammy, Nana, and Trey painted!
Ms. Sara then made a special canvas for Ambry
that everyone who attended her party signed.
What a nice keepsake!
Back at home after the party, Ambry opened gifts from
her grandparents and aunts and uncles!
She was especially excited about the doggie toys and items!
Our maltipoo is due to be born any day now!
We're so thankful for our sweet 8 year old and we
wonder with excitement, what God's plans are for her future!
Happy Birthday Ambry Su!  We love you!
