Happy #11 Trey!!!

Trey is ELEVEN years old!
WHAT???
How did this happen so FAST!?
It seems like year ten just flew by!
We started off Trey's special day with #11 pancakes
and a stack of eleven mini pancakes!
He ate every bite!
Then Mommy brought Chik Fil A for lunch to Trey's school!

We had a nice,
silly lunch date
outside in the courtyard!

Grammy and Grumps had arrived by the time the kids got home
from school, so we opened Trey's gift from them...
an air soft attack rifle!
After some time relaxing out by the pool, we headed
out to Chin Chin for dinner!  Trey's choice!
When we got home it was time for T's giant cookie cake!
YUM!!!

The weekend after Trey's actual birthday, we celebrated with his
friends at Urban Jungle!
The rock wall was a big hit with our group!
Love this picture because it was Daddy who
masterminded the cake decorating this year!
Trey thought his candy chocolate explosion cake was awesome!

 Our Family!
 Ready to play Laser Tag!
Nana came up to visit her #1 grandson for the weekend of the party!
We are so blessed by the young man Trey has become!
He works hard in school, he works hard on the football field, and he
is an honest and caring kid!
We couldn't have asked for a better son!
We are proud of you Trey!
God really blessed us on August 31, 2001 and he continues to bless us
every year!  We love you!!!

Obsessed!

Thanks to Luke's brother Matt, we are officially
OBSESSED with this tv show...
We watched the first season on Netflix
after Matt told us how good it was.

The show is filmed around Atlanta, with some of the episodes filmed here in Newnan and in a town close by called Senoia.
It has been awesome to watch and recognize
many of the locations in the episodes!

Season #2 came out on DVD Tuesday and Luke and I have been
watching 3 to 4 episodes each night.
We want to be ready for season #3 which starts on October 14.
It's gory and completely unrealistic in parts...
(a zombie appocolypse, really?!)
But we are hooked!

Lunch Date!

I enjoyed taking a movie star to lunch today...
 Ha ha ha!
Claire and I went to lunch with Ambry at her school!
The conversation flowed!
We talked all about our upcomming Disney trip, candy,
California, candy, and better items I could pack
in Ambry's lunch.
It was hilarious.
I am so thankful for time with these sweet girls!

Salsa Sunday!

Three years ago we had a salsa making party with Luke's cousin Jon
in Moultrie at their farm.  Jon's salsa recipe was SO good, that many of
our friends wanted to make his salsa too!
Last year we had our first Salsa making party here at our house and
today we held our second annual Salsa Sunday!
We made 209 pints of salsa!  Not only is the finished product amazing,
the process is so much fun!!!
Here are a few pictures of the day... I was kept busy peeling tomatoes so didn't have
much time for photos!
Jars ready to go and salsa recipe calculations underway the night before!
Our new PC cornhole set arrived just in time for the festivities!
Fresh roma tomatoes from the farmers market!
 Brandon's invention...
The Redneck tomato press!
 Some of the peelin's!
 Sampling the first batch!
We ended up making 3 batches... each batch was about 40 quarts of salsa!
The kiddos enjoyed the pool all day!
 Peelin' peelin' and more peelin'!
 Pretty skies!
 Our bounty!
SO worth the long day in the sun!
Thank you Greshams, Smiths and Lanhams for another successful Salsa Sunday!!!

Cousin Weekend 2012

We attended the first annual "Cousins Weekend" this summer!
It was a BLAST!
Jon and Selena hosted us all on their boat
and at their "mobile mansion" in Dekle Beach, FL.
A great time was had by ALL...

Luke with one of the TWO scallops we found!

 Amazing cousins carrying on
Grandaddy and Grandmama Buckner's love of family time!
We hope all six of the cousins will be able to attend next year!

 PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!

We can't wait to do it again!
