Camping Day 4!

Uncle Matt, Aunt B, Parker and Alli headed home today... Memorial Day!

We weren't too sad, because they invited us to come 

grill out at their house with them later in the afternoon!

We spent our day at the BMX track again.

Trey had a bad fall, but he got right back on his bike 

and rode again!

This afternoon, we enjoyed a delicious meal at Uncle Matt and Aunt B's house.

 The kids all had a ball playing together at the house.

B took Luke and I around Tuscaloosa to see all of the tornado damage.

It was indescribable and very sad.

But everywhere we looked, there were signs that said

Rebuild Tuscaloosa and We're Coming Back!

Their community has banded together to get things cleaned up

and rebuilt.  They are all helping each other 

and offering many prayers and much hope!

Happy Memorial Day!

We are blessed with our freedom and we

are so thankful to God and to our soldiers!

Our camping trip was wonderful!  We are very blessed.

Camping Day 3!

Today we went fishing in the giant lake at the state park!

Uncle Matt was the only one to catch anything!  He caught two fish.

Ambry and Allison made lots of mud balls,

and Trey and Parker got their lines tangled and got pushed into the water!

After fishing we headed back to explore the campground.

We threw the football and the frisbee and took a

bike ride to the little park, we met a snapping turtle that our 

camping "neighbors" found, we visited and chatted and Trey and Uncle Matt

grilled us a hamburger supper!

Another great day spending time together!!!

Camping Day 2!

Saturday was a full day of camping adventures!

First, we tried out our skills at the BMX track in the state park...

After lunch, we loaded up and drove out to hike down Peavine Falls...

 It was a very rocky, risky, rough hike down to the falls!

 The kids enjoyed the cool water and the slippery rocks.

 They went from just getting their feet wet, to full on swimming!

We ended our day with a yummy steak supper,

 Jiffy Pop popcorn by the fire,

 and giant marshmallows and smores!

 Day 2 was packed with camping fun!!!

We're camping at Oak Mountain State Park in Alabama with our cousins!

Matt, Beth, Parker, and Allison got a new pop-up camper and we got to go with them

on their inaugural camping trip!

We are looking forward to a fun filled Memorial Day weekend!

After we got all set up on Friday night... it was campfire time!

SO silly!

It took so long for us to get everything set up, we didn't eat supper until after 10:00 p.m.!

Awards Day

Awards Day is always a special day at school!
It's a sure sign that summer vacation is almost here,
but also a time for our sweet teachers to brag on all of the students!

Both Trey and Ambry won awards for the highest number
of Accelerated Reader points in their classes, 

and also Excellent Conduct Awards and Straight A's for the whole school year!

They also both exceeded all the standards on their standardized tests!

We are so proud of them!
