I didn't take a SINGLE picture during our long weekend in Moultrie.
Instead, I enjoyed every minute with our family.
Saturday night was a delicious chili supper and gathering at Jon and Selena's house.
We sat around their outdoor fireplace and watched college football!
Their home is beautiful and comfortable and
they welcome everyone with good food, laughs, and relaxation!
On Sunday the rain cancelled Luke's big surprise... tickets to Wild Adventures.
The roller coasters would have been a blast,
but we lounged in our pj's for hours drinking pumpkin spice flavored coffee on the back porch
in the rocking chairs and just catching up with Luke's mom.
Later in the day, we finally got dressed and she took the kids to see Dolphin Tale.
Luke and I ran some errands and enjoyed a few hours to ourselves...
uninterrupted conversation is always a treat!
Sunday evening we went over to Jon and Selena's pond house and cooking cabin!
It is quite the set up! (Lukey was a little bit jealous!)
I will definitely take pictures of this wonderful place the next time we get to go!
Jon fried up fish, deer tenderloin, french fries, hush puppies, and pickles.
Nana made a yummy coleslaw and Aunt Mary graced us
with some of the BEST cheese grits I have ever tasted.
(She told us her secret... a little bit of cream of wheat in the grits...who knew!?)
We enjoyed Aunt Kathy's famous onion dip beforehand and
cupcakes for dessert afterwards.
Our bellies and hearts were FULL!!!!!!!!
Jon filled up the fire pit and we cracked up at Uncle Randy's
stories of embarrassing teenage Taylor!
We were late to bed again, but thankful for another day at the farm.
Today, Lukey took the day off to hang with Trey and Ambry so I could go
to Albany with Nana, Aunt Kathy and Selena.
We got to Aunt Mattie's house early this morning and cleaned, organized,
straightened, rearranged and decorated.
Last trip we got two rooms and closets and a bathroom complete for her.
This trip we got the foyer, dining room and most of the kitchen and family room done!
A day of girl time and blessing sweet Aunt Mattie Nell and Uncle Claude.
Lukey and the kids came and picked me up and we just made it home.
We're thankful for another day off school tomorrow.
Fall Break has been busy, but it has been the BEST!
