Eight is GREAT!

I truly can't believe that our baby girl is EIGHT years old!

It's so cliche... but time DOES fly when you're having fun!!!

We had a grand time celebrating her special day.

Her party with her girlfriends and grandparents is coming up this weekend.

We can't wait!

 # 8 pancakes for breakfast on the morning of her birthday!

Ambry asked me if she was already 8 when she woke up, and I said she 

was!  She was born at 6:08 a.m. and she woke up at 6:40 on her birthday.

 Ambry's teacher gave her a birthday crown to wear all day

at school, and I brought in cupcakes for her class during lunch.

Ambry's friend Grayson said, "Mrs. Lucas, this frosting is simply delicious."

He cracks me up!!!

 We waited for Daddy to get home from work and then opened

presents!  Ambry's main gift is a maltipoo puppy, but she won't be

born for another few weeks.  So we got her a few little surprises.

 She loved the dog leash and dog collar!

We've got to be ready for our pooch!

 Ambry chose supper at Five Guys and then we had ice cream

cake with our sweet friends, The Lanhams, for dessert.

 Daddy had a couple more surprises in his truck...

A new bat and glove for softball!

I forgot to buy candles, so she only had seven!
She didn't mind!!!

 After cake, we had just enough time for a round of 

Doggy Doo!

Nana sent it in the mail so she would have it to open on her

birthday.  This is the funniest game I have ever seen!

 The object of the game is to be the first to collect 

three pieces of dog "poop" on your shovel!

 We're so thankful for our spunky, funny, sweet, beautiful

eight year old girl!!  Just like her email address says:
